forgive the seriousness but, what do you live for |
|
|
so the other day i came across some old journal i had from when i just graduated college. man i was real depressed. i wasnt suicidal or anything, i was just apathetic. about everything. at the time i couldnt think of a single thing that i really lived for.
so now, 2 very full years later, that answers so obvious its stupid. these things might not make sense to everyone but if i had to make a small list, this is what i live for: (in no particular order)
ska shows
snowboarding (or freebording or tboarding or flying planes)
mountian biking
dancing with my friends
hearing my family joke the way they do
good music
making out
forgive me if im getting all sentimental on you guys, but im kinda curious. whats keeping you guys from just offing yourselves right at this second? _________________ america .... fuck yea |

yo, i definatly went/ going, through the same thing, my parents really only care about 2 things(our animals, and me having good gradeS) i get routinly hollard at for having B's.(B's people lol...!!!).. but i found things that i do for me to get away from normal society. I play trombone daily.. so i get joys out of improvising some smooth jazz, (rocker by heart thhough). i kiteboard (traction kiting) so that keeps me busy, and since starting on board sport forums, i really do see what i was missing those days of sitting at home, takin the abuse by parents.. lol.. now i just get outta the house, ride the T, hang w/ friends, work, and chill.. But it still bothers me inside sometimes when i actually have to go home.. but i feel tons better then i did 2 years ago..

speed on wheels + carving of course
knowing that at least one human being deeply cares about you and/or you about them
food + drink
knowing that when life hits the shit, things can only get better
bright sunny days
believing that to at least one person, you might make a difference

Training,-I'm a Zen Buddhist. Meditation is inseparable from my life.
My teacher too, I don't know where i'd be if it weren't for him..I was in a pretty sorry state for lack of a better word and he has got a lot to do with it getting sorted out.
Other than that? Right livelyhood. I love my work, and I have a great boss.
My family is nice, and I have a lot of hobbies that I enjoy.
Longboarding? Well Ive been riding so long I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I love it to be sure, but it's as much apart of my personality as is any other thing that makes up my being. I've just been doing it for so long, it seems like a natural act. Even if i lost the ability to skate, it would always have a warm place in my heart. _________________ Surf Colorado!

i'm in life for the sheer experience. we have such a brief moment and it all must be used to soak in all the possibilities. i've got a list of over 100 things i'd like to do before i die, and i'm about the business of doing them. reality is you could get hit by a truck tomorrow, so you have to do something significant to your life today! _________________ 41" t board. dirtsurfer gp. dirt theory blackhawk. surfari 20". 6'4" thruster
